Bali Yoga Retreat
When it comes to yoga retreats, Bali is a mecca. Beyond stunning beaches and magical temples, Bali has virtually every kind of natural beauty. Glorious mountainous areas with lush greenery, scenic lakes, gorgeous waterfalls, iconic rice fields, flower gardens, sacred rivers and secret canyons all make up the island's landscape. And, it's through this connection to nature and the people of Bali, that the foundation of yoga begins to feel palpable.
Everyone should take a yoga retreat once in their life..
And some people keep coming back every year!

Yoga retreats are just that amazing.

For the solo traveler, it offers an opportunity to find the perfect blend of introvert with the added bonus of people to eat dinner with. For those that love meeting new people, there are so many opportunities to connect whether after class, over meals or on adventures. And for anyone who is raising children or managing a household...there is the fact you won't have to lift a finger or cook a meal all week.

Plus the food is amazing.

Your entire week will have a framework of yoga, fresh meals, opportunities to explore the surroundings but leave enough free time for you to slow down and unwind or take off on your own adventure doing the things you love in a place that is simply magical.
When you join us, you'll get access to our private retreat space for the week. It's near a well- known diver’s spot in the north-west of Bali.
We will have access to the entire property with three traditional villas, three private pools, a state of the art yoga studio (with both hot yoga and amazing open air options) and an onsite spa. The garden is enormous and offers tons of outdoor options for lounging. Every bedroom on the estate features a comfy bed, a wardrobe closet and a private en-suite bathroom equipped with hot/cold showers, washbasins and toilets. Most bathrooms feature tropical open-air designs for outdoor showering experiences beneath the clear blue or starry night sky.
Our beautiful yoga space offers us hot yoga, non-heated yoga, and restorative and yin practices and we will take advantage of each. Best of all the studio has tons of windows offering natural light and epic vistas as we flow.
Each day you'll enjoy curated practices and amazing food. Most mornings will offer an active 60 minute practice and most evenings will end with a softer, more restful experience. We'll practice twice a day except for on excursion days where there will be only a morning flow.
Your week will include:
-Opening Ceremony with a Balinese Priest
-Daily brunch
-Morning Yoga
-Local transport in Pemuteran - to and from the beach and restaurants
-Evening Yoga (on non-excursion days)
-Group Dinner
-One Full Body Massage
-and full access to the entire grounds
We'll also take two unique excursions curated by our retreat center to see Sambangan Waterfalls and experience local temples (by scooter) to learn more about the culture of Bali.
emple visits are believed to bring blessings and good fortune and as part of the visit we will create offerings
INCLUDES:
Opening Ceremony with a Balinese Priest

Brunch and Dinner, coffee, tea and filtered water

Two Unique Group Excursions, and transfers to locacl beach through out week

What will my week look like?
We believe yoga retreats shouldn't take themselves too seriously - after all yoga is about balance and aligning our many sides as human beings. Each morning will start with yoga. Two mornings we will experience heated vinyasa & the remaining mornings will be a steady sacred flow.

These facilities are top notch.

With the option of open windows and beautiful views you'll know you are somewhere special.

Some people feel they need an advanced yoga practice to go on retreat but we want to remove that obstacle right away. Our morning practices are "vinyasa based" which does require a willingness to move, challenge your strength and occasionally build heat in your body. The week will start slow & steady to ground us as a group and ensure we build the progression in a way that is safe for everyone. By the end of the week, we'll work on more advanced shapes and each class builds foundations to support the postures we'll dissect later in the week.

Each day you'll enjoy a fresh fruit platter in your villa and after yoga there will be an amazing fresh brunch. In the evenings we will often gather for yin or restorative (except for excursion days) followed by a festive dinner and more opportunities to enjoy the beautiful garden and outdoor spaces on our grounds.

If your yoga practice is geared more toward rest and reducing stress you might choose to just participate in evening classes. These are also highly beginner friendly as they move slowly and are not as alignment-based. Rather you'll use props and permissiveness to meet your body where it is....

In between meals and yoga, in the heart of the day, you'll have the opportunity to do what you want to do. From swimming, exploring the beaches to charting your own adventure... The town and local beaches are easily accessible with the transfers offered by the retreat center.
And we'll take a few adventures as a group as well. From waterfalls to majestic Temples of Bali (via a scooter tour) there will be enough action to leave you feeling full.
Our retreats are built around moderation in all things, including yoga. We encourage you to explore & adventure in a way that leaves space for transformation. We encourage you to meet new friends and be festive** in a way to allows calm and clarity. And we hope to support you in celebrating the magic of being present with ours and each other to witness the magic of community.

**Please no hard alcohol on the retreat premises.
About Your Yoga Guide:
Annelise K, 500ERYT
I guide retreats with a sense of deep gratitude and appreciation that this is part of my work professionally...and I am excited to be your guide in Bali. This will be my first time visiting this country and I'm happy to have an amazing partner in Jeda Retreat Center.
I am the owner of Sacred Yoga, co-owner and founder of Sacred Fire and a professional yoga teacher with over 20 years experience working with students on a daily basis. Teaching daily classes in a community affords teachers a tremendous amount of knowledge in working with different body types, around different needs and desires and through the stages of life (marriages, child birth, divorces, grief of loss, job changes and more) where yoga can be of particular benefit. I bring this wealth of experience (and I hope wisdom) with me in my teachings through out the course of my retreats.
I am a 500HR E-RYT with certifications in Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, Womens Health, Chinese-Medicine-Theory within the framework of Yin Yoga and Trauma-Informed Teaching. We'll touch of most of these aspects of yoga during our time together.
As a single mom, I often travel on retreats with my yoga "partner in crime", my three year old daughter. She has well honed observation skills, enjoys people watching and has been taking yoga (plus hanging around our studio) since 18 months. I am highly sensitive that not all adults are child enthusiasts and work to protect the peace and serene by working with local nannies and childcare professionals. However you will occasionally get to take her in her cuteness :-)

Deposits and payments are fully non-refundable. All terms & conditions are listed at check out. Even with precautions we cannot eliminate your risk in acquiring COVID during your travels. We assume no liability for exposures or trip disruption due to acquiring covid.

Payment plans are available for early bookers. Please remember when entering a payment plan you are liable for the full amount of the trip even if you're unable to attend. Future payments will continue to bill. If you know you are unable to attend and would like us to try to help "resell" your spot we are able to assist for a $300 marketing fee. In order to do this we require pre-payment of the marketing fee and a written release of the spot.
We highly recommend private travel insurance.
Coming solo but on a budget? Reserve a shared room and we will place you with a roommate. Most of our retreat goers book shared rooms and typically don't have a "pre-arranged" roommate. We host a Pre-trip meet up so you'll get the opportunity to make friends in advance if that's important to you. If we are not able to place you with a roommmate, please note you will be upgraded to a single room rate. Failure to pay the additional cost at least four weeks prior to arrival in Portugal will result in forfeiting your room and payments. Please note: triple rooms are only bookable for those with known roommates at this time.
