In this role, you'll be leading kids ages 4-8 yrs old.  

We're looking for someone with:

1+ years working with children in an educational, caregiving, or teaching capacity 

20+ Hour Kids Yoga Certification, preferred - or - a 200HR certification PLUS 1 Year experience teaching kids

Ability to commit to teaching weekdays at 4:45PM

Background in theater, art, dance, music or any other performance area (not required but definitely a bonus!)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A good energetic presence, self-motivate & optimistic

A belief that being on time means being five minutes early - Highly-accountable & committed

Must adhere to attendance policy, Non-Solicitation agreement and background check required

  • Builds and maintains student satisfaction with kids and parents

  • Recognizes and anticipates student and management's needs

  • Maintains a safe and secure teaching environment

  • Teachers are expected to be present 90% of the time with roughly 6-8 weeks of unpaid time off per year

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Plans & Executes an engaging play-based yoga curriculum that includes opportunities for teamwork, imagination, creativity while building the foundation for a yoga asana and mindfulness practice.  

  • Maintains strong relationships with parents, fellow teachers and management team.

  • Responsive and responsible

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with optimistic attitude

  • Team player

  • Passion for building community & relationships; ability to create meaningful connections with a diverse group

 

Job Type: Part-time, Hourly

Pay: Negotiable starting at $30/HR + Bonus (or $45+ per class base plus a per child bonus)

Expected hours: 4-10 hours per week
