Sacred Thread Yoga is a small, women-owned, inclusive yoga & wellness studio in the Summerhill area of South Atlanta, GA. We approach yoga as a lifestyle—not just a workout. We believe it’s hard to feel joy when our bodies need to heal and our practices are intended to create space for humans to better understand themselves and their needs & create a pathway toward wellness. The 20,000 Foot View

Yoga teachers pour alot into their classes and craft and most of this effort is before we ever step foot into the room with our students.  Our co-op teaching positions allow teachers to run their own business, while benefitting from a membership-based community. 

 

Co-op teachers pay a monthly membership fee and share 20% of each classes revenues with the studio to cover overhead for the space. 80% of revenues from their classes.  This model is ideal for mature, experienced teachers who are passionate about their craft, have or are building close student relationships and would like to own a studio without the responsibility of managing a large team or being financially responsible for start up costs.  

You'll need strong teaching skills, a desire to lead series, workshops, private sessions or trainings, an interest in marketing and growing yourself and a business mind.  

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Create a Smooth, Consistent & Repeatable In-studio Experience

  • Know top students/VIP members and always deliver a high level of hospitality

  • Accountability for planning and execute your own classes and events during agreed weekly times.

  • Own the student experience in the studio; help direct student issues 

  • Ability to learn and use POS system; have expertise and effectively sell add-ons 

EDUCATION, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required - Entrepreneurial/self-starter personality

  • Required - Excellent sales, written and verbal communication

  • Required - Customer service skills

  • Required - Understanding of budgets and a profit/loss statement 

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with optimistic attitude

  • Highly Accountable

  • 2+ Years of teaching experience

  • Desired: 500Hr teaching certification or track record of leading workshops, series and/or trainings
